Reiki
(pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us.
Mikeo Usui developed Reiki in 1922 and passed on his teachings to others, which is now taught globally.
There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive or learn Reiki treatment. When receiving Reiki it is possible to heal at any level of being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
The practitioner is a channel which the energy is drawn through.
The receiver simply needs to relax and be as comfortable as possible, there is no need to remove any clothing, the practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively on and around the receiver’s body in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body not just a problem area.
The whole person is treated not just the symptoms. Reiki gets to the root and heals from within.
Reiki is suitable for everyone it is a beautiful relaxing treatment and can be enjoyed over and over again.
